LK DMIS, from our experience would definitely NOT be suited for use on a "Manual" machine.
Especially if you intend to use the interface that LK supplies for generating the code.
If you would like to use LK DMIS "out of the box" then you must also consider upgrading to an automatic machine. Of course you could always try forcing the issue, just bring along plenty of asprin!
