Kevin,

Sorry for the slow response. I just trained on GeoMeasure last week in Michigan. So...this may be a bit shaky. You will have to manually calibrate your probes. Go to Probes, then select define probe and specify your S1 stylus A and B angular position. I would also suggest giving each of your probes around the star some simple designation such as A-D. Now instead of using the Sx label, fill in the designation of the probe you intend to use. Do this for all probes in each one of the S1 positions you intend to use. For example. S1 in position A=0°,B=0°would be your first definition. Calling the other probes A1 - D1 define each one of them at A=0°,B=0°. Now lets say you want your S1 probe in A=90°, B=0°. Define S2 as A=90°, B=0°. Now define A2-D2 each at A=90°, B=0°. See how I am tying the orientation together?

Lets move on to calibration. I'll assume that the masterball has already been defined. Select Probe again, but this time go to Calib Stylus. Select the stylus you want to calibrate first and probe your masterball. Continue for each defined probe until you have them all calibrated.

Don't forget to go to Probe one last time and save your probes for future use.

Any problems, see chapter 7 of your CNC operation manual or e-mail me directly at jpfouts@alliedmachine.com.

Good Luck!!

Jeff
