If I read this correctly then the problem will remain until you redefine the curve in the final (original) coordinate system. Problem is, the definition will be the same as the first. Easy fix is to isolate that feature on a layer, then do Options / Rotate / 180° with COPY checked. Then the new feature can be selected, defined and checked in the original coordinate system.
