Hi Duane!

If I am reading this correctly. The feature is the outside radius of 5 units. The implied positioning is the same as the hole, 11.43, 54.16. Using your default tolerancing, you have ±X on size (where X = 5?).

Looking at the practical side,if you have basic positioning then you have to have a feature of size that can vary. I would say borderline legal just for the fact that you need a feature of size to make this work and I have seen others do the same. I would be definitely encourage the designer to lay off the basic boxes for features of size. If you go by the fact that examples do not seem to exist then you have a stronger argument for illegal. Hmmmm!

We might need a "guru" interpretation on this one because I just can not find an answer.

The instructional explanation would be very interesting.
