OBJECTIVE:
To provide leadership, expertise and experience to a position within the Quality organization utilizing multi-faceted abilities to the benefit of both the organization and to personal growth.


QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in excess of 20 years in various phases of Quality Assurance including but not limited to supervision, program development, supplier and government relations, planning, inspection, auditing, metrology, metallurgy and non-destructive testing.


WORK EXPERIENCE:
2003- , Thayer Aerospace Manufacturing, INSPECTOR
Program and operate Brown & Sharpe and Starrett coordinate measuring machines utilizing PCDmis version 3.5 for inspection of military and commercial precision machined parts. Perform tape proving and first article inspections for engineering and customer review. Perform surface plate setups utilizing height gages, sine plates and gage blocks. Provide training on CMM operation and programming for quality assurance inspectors.

1986-2002 Boeing, INSPECTOR NUMERICAL CONTROL MEASURING MACHINES
Tooling Quality Assurance representative to Phase I & II Interchangeable/Replaceable initiation and investigation teams. Perform tool design and I/R plan reviews to engineering requirements and applicable procedures. Participate in I/R functionality reviews and investigations. Review supplier coordinate measuring machine programs and results for completeness and accuracy. Develop “Data Collection Devices” for both in-house and supplier use outlining procedures to be utilized and requirements to be met during CMM operation. Program and operate LK CMM’s. Perform first article and in process CMM inspection utilizing LK equipment on tooling, production parts and assemblies, MR&D projects and maintenance standards. Provide leadership and support to CMM operators and programmers. Provide testing capabilities for upgrades to QANC post-processor algorithms. Perform in process tooling inspection and scheduled periodic inspections on major floor mounted tooling utilizing photogrammetry, laser trackers, alignment telescopes, levels and transits. Provided technical expertise during the initial MR&D investigation into implementation of Leica laser trackers at Boeing Wichita. Audited tooling use and manufacture at Boeing Georgia.

ADDITIONAL AIRCRAFT EXPERIENCE:
Rockwell International, Inspector-Machined Parts
Program and operate LK coordinate measuring machines for inspection of military and commercial production machined parts. Perform surface plate setups utilizing height gages, sine plates and gage blocks.
Perform tape proving and first article inspections. Perform visual inspections utilizing mylars and transfer scribes. Determine material condition by means of hardness and conductivity testing.

McDonnell Douglas, Inspector-Machined Parts
Program and operate Brown & Sharpe and DEA coordinate measuring machines for inspection of military and commercial production machined parts. Perform surface plate setups utilizing three axis height gages, electronic height gages, compound sine plates, rotary tables and gage blocks. Perform tape proving and first article inspections. Determine material condition by means of hardness and conductivity testing.



Nordam, Inspector-Receiving
Perform surface plate setups utilizing height gages and gage blocks. Review laboratory analysis reports in determining material condition. Perform inspection of military bonded panel assemblies for delamination and completeness.


MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE:
Midland-Berg Inc., Supervisor-Product Reliability and Warranty
Oversee daily manufacture and testing of pneumatic automotive brake components in accordance with FMVSS-106. Supervise assembly inspection and lab technician personnel. Conduct quarterly performance reviews and weekly crew meetings. Authored classroom materials and directed training on Boice CMM. Maintain testing records to ensure reliability. Coordinate with project engineering on testing procedures and results. Provide interface for customer auditors. Investigate validity of warranty claims. Review assembly procedures at customer facilities to resolve disputes involving product performance.
