We are looking at Arms to on large assemblies we are beginning to get more business from. The main application will be verifying bars 15 feet long with OAL tol. of +/-.015", as well as twist and yaw requirements (orientation). A second application is a Carbon-Fiber "T-Bar" about 4' x 4'. The first application would require a leap. I know Romer has their SpaceLOK thing and claims an accuracy loss of ~.002". Does Faro have a similar system. Has anyone used either in leap-frog applications?
My second question involves software - Has anyone used both that can give me an opinion as to Cad integration (ease of importing models), power, accuracy, useability, complexity, features, etc.
Thirdly are there any magazines or articles comparing the two systems?
Thanks!!
