This may have been addressed in my LK DMIS 5.5 training, but I have since forgotten....

Sensor X is calibrated in its A=0, B=0, position as part of a program that calibrates several probes and saves the data.

Later, when writing a new program, if I RECALL sensor X and later select SA(X), the CMM recognizes the sensor (and its calibration data) and runs the program.

If I only DEF sensor X and later select sensor SA(X), (and do not RECALL the sensor), the program stops and tells me, "Probe not calibrated. Would you like to calibrate it now?"

When checking UTIL-> RESETS, sensor X is listed in both "SHARED RESETS" and "SAVED RESETS".

Why will the CMM recognize sensor X ONLY when RECALLed?
