Per the DMIS standard probes should be defined, calibrated, saved and recalled. If done in this manner and standard naming used, you will not have any issues in the future even if the probes are defined in different units of measurement.
The probe definitions may slightly deviate from one or another, this would explain why they are not recognized in all of your programs after calibrated/qualified in another program.
Also in the later studio application, their is a utility to "create a calibration program". This module will take all definitions in the open program, create a utility program for calibrating the probes defined and update the program to call the external program.
Hope this helps!
