With the new software they are using, AnthroCAM, training shouldn't be too much of a problem. It's pretty easy once you get used to the icons. Put your probe where you want your point, click one button to take the point and the second to accept it and move on, you know, just like a regular cmm. They do also accept renishaw probes.
They have indicators to tell you when you've twisted a joint to far, the software is actually based on the latest version of AutoCAD. As a matter of fact, I believe it comes with a licensed copy of AutoCAD.
They do have the drawback of not being as accurate as a conventional cmm, their top of the line is +/-.001" I believe, but when your doing plastic parts on a car, or even sheetmetal, that's plenty from what I've seen.
