We would like to inform you of

A WORKSHOP on COORDINATE MEASURING MACHINES (CMMs) CALIBRATION,

organized by the Czech Metrological Institute on June 1 - 2, 1999, in Prague, Czech Republic.

The aim is to introduce calibration methods and artifacts, results of international comparisons, results of international CMM measurements, software for calibration evaluation, experimental assessing of partial
uncertainties of CMM using laser interferometers and artifacts, methods of evaluating partial uncertainties of CMM positions and methods of entering correction factors.

Following experts have applied: E. Trapet(Unimetric, Spain), G.N. Peggs(NPL, United Kingdom), H.H. Plath (ITI, Germany), R. Krug (Renishaw,Germany), H. Tikka (Tampere University of Technology, Finland).

Program of the workshop includes presentations and discussions, exposition of laser equipment and calibration artifacts, dinner and a visit to the Skoda Auto Corp. (museum, assembly hall and metrological center).
