Check the length and weight of the stylii. There is a limit to what the probe can handle. Also, check the stylus trigger pressure using a gram gauge (available from Renishaw). Trigger pressure should be 8grams.

If the trigger pressure is too small and the weight of the stylus to great when the CMM moves off in rapid, the stylus will probably move and cause a trigger.
