We purchased the CAPPSNT product with our cmm. It has been in place for over a year and has not met our expectations.

If you are not into working with computer generated models from CAD/CAM packages, then this software may well meet your needs.

You may want to look into a couple of other products as well.

One of the other responses was PC-DMIS, we evaluated this product and it is a very good package. We also looked at a product called Virtual-DMIS and a product called Metrolog. The Virtual-DMIS has a lot going for it and would do well in meeting our needs in respect to CAD/CAM. We actually decided on putting the Metrolog product on our machine. They had some layering capabilities that work well and the ease of use and the learning curve seems to be shorter than the other two products.

I think all of these packages are great packages and have the capabilities to work for you. But I strongly recommend that your at least evaluate other opportunities before you make a final decision.
