Kim,
I have been involved with CMM's for about 10 years myself. I have to agree with Jim Jewell that you need to better define what specification are you looking for. All the major company CMM's are good. What you need to determine is how big are the parts you are going to measure. What is the specification tolerances you are measuring. What will the environment the CMM will be in. Will it be affected by vibration, dust, heat/cold. What products do you have now and what are forecasted for your company going to get into in the next 3-5 years. Buying something for now is good, but I have been 'challenged' to make a software do more than it was purchased for. Not that the software was mis-represented, it is that our company went into products outside of our 'norm'.
Take a look at how well the common operator can use and understand the software.

If you wish to call me or email me, I would be glad to help you. My phone is 847-742-0700 X2477

Good luck in your choices
