Is there a 32 bit version of WINCMES out? The reason why I ask is, I have setup our CMM to use custom user interfaces using Visual Basic to interact with WINCMES. We have upgraded our Visual Basic to version 5.0, which is a 32 bit Version. The DLL's that are used in WINCMES are 16 bit, and you cannot use 16 bit DLL functions in a 32 bit Software Development Language such as Visual Basic 5.0, OR CAN YOU? If I can find a way around this, then the 16 bit version of WINCMES will be OK on our system.

Using Visual Basic, I can now go beyond the 100 point limitation on the following commands: OD, ID, FF-(Flatness), AP-(Parallelism). I have unlimited point capability. Also, I can check Out-Of Roundness with unlimited points (CMES only reports Roundness). I use Visual Basic to do most of the calculations, such as finding Min, Max, Average Dimensions.

Using Visual Basic also allows me to create all my reports in Microsoft Word and I can Plot my Flatness, Parallelism and Out-Of-Roundness in Microsoft Excel.

I can also use Microsoft Access to automatically log all parts that were inspected (electronic log book) automatically with the Visual Basic Interfaces.
