I used to use KUM, but I was not satisfied with its 3D capabilities. I found that it did not correctly adjust the scanning data for probe radius offset on many shapes. I found that it was much more reliable to use the "Save Points to File" function (DI 1100) and manipulate the "Ball Center" data off-line in a good CAD software.

The best on-line solution for the Zeiss would be Holos-UX. It constructs reliable free form surfaces. It is still not a CAD package so it will fall short if you want to trim surfaces or adjust blends.

I offer advanced training in Umess-UX. I have done a lot of work with complex surfaces using all of the Zeiss products. I would be happy to help you complete your projects with the tools that you already have.
