I have been attempting to measure a cylindrical airplane engine housing. I have to provide not just the diameter but the radius at 15 deg. intervals around the housing. I am using a star tip with a Renishaw MIP head. I found the center of the housing using the hole/boss feature. When i take a point the polar radius is the output that i am looking for. When i take a point that is not square to my tip (e.g. not 0 90 180 or 270 deg) my numbers have been off by .020.
