The MP 500 is a non-contact video measuring system that turns a standard CMM into a non-contact CMM. The Microprobe is a completely self-contained, compact unit that is easy to setup and operate. What sets it apart from other CMM video systems is the built-in gray level edge detection that allows measured points to be transmitted to your CMM without operator intervention (the system can also be used manually). The Microprobe is perfect for measuring small and flexible or thin walled components and will retrofit onto any CMM that is RENISHAW TP2 compatible(any CMM that currently is using a Renishaw TP2 style touch probe). Built-in lighting for X/Y and Z-axis measuring. The edge detection functions in all three axes! The system consists of three parts: Video Processor/12" B&W Monitor Unit with built-in CrossHair Line Generator Lightweight 30X video probe head with Color CCD camera with two built-in light sources Handheld remote keypad with lighting and line generator controls. The Microprobe 500 can be fitted on many popular brands of Coordinate Measuring Machines such as Brown & Sharpe, Mitutoyo, DEA and Sheffield .
