Your best bet to "breathe new life" into your old machine is a retrofit. LK MSI, OMNI-TECH, IMS, and Brown and Sharpe are a few companies that are into this field pretty intensely. Contact them through their web sites or phone and have them send you some information. See what they can offer and go with what fits your application. I had LK retrofit a Portage PDQ Layout Machine where I worked before and was very satisfied with the results. I put some addresses of companies I looked into when I was looking. Best of luck!
